Our Operations Manager heads to the National Finals!

Katie Scott has achieved another incredible milestone in her career through her success at the Scottish Thistle Awards 2023. 👏🏆

Following on from being named one of the Top 100 Women in Tourism in Scotland earlier last year, Katie has won the Tourism Individual of the Year Award at the Central and East Regional Scottish Thistle Awards. The ceremony was hosted by VisitScotland at the Sheraton Hotel on Thursday 21st September 2023.

Above all, Katie’s win is testament to her commitment to being a positive change ambassador in the tourism industry. We couldn’t be prouder of her achievement. The award recognises not only Katie’s career progression but her extraordinary contributions that go above and beyond her core responsibilities as Operations Manager.

Katie says, “I am delighted to have won the Tourism Individual of the Year award. Something I would never have imagined when I started as a Tour Guide at The Real Mary King’s Close in 2016. I am incredibly grateful that my dedication to developing the attraction and supporting inclusivity within the industry has been recognised”.
