The cart takes its name from Mary Ogle, proprietor of the Royal Exchange Coffee House, a much-loved gathering place for locals that sat above Mary King’s Close in the 1740s.
Keep your eyes peeled, and you may even encounter Mary herself in the Burgh Courtroom, a space that once echoed with conversation as one of Edinburgh’s earliest coffee houses.
