From the Close to the stage: our storytellers take on the Fringe in 2026
7th Jul 2026
At The Real Mary King’s Close, storytelling is more than just something we do. It’s part of who we are.
Every day, our talented team bring Edinburgh’s hidden history to life beneath the Royal Mile, sharing the real stories of the people who once lived, worked and walked the streets of the Close. But this summer, some familiar faces are stepping out from beneath the city and onto the Edinburgh Festival Fringe stages.
From magical forests and historical musical comedy to thrilling mysteries and powerful performances, our team are ready to share even more stories across Edinburgh this August.
Here’s where you can catch them during this year’s festival. We’ll see you in the audience!
