The Real Mary King’s Close has partnered up with the Wedgwood Restaurant to offer a new package involving a 3 course dinner, poetry reading, a themed Burns Tour and a “wee dram” of whisky.

The evening will start at 6.30pm at Wedgwood Restaurant. A costume character guide will meet guests at the restaurant at 8.30pm to recite a poem and to walk them to The Real Mary King’s Close to start the tour at 9.15pm lasting for 1 hour.

This Burns Tour celebrates the birth of Scotland’s Bard and discover one of his greatest inspirations, Robert Ferguson.

It is said that without Fergusson there would be no Burns. Born on Cap and Feather Close in 1740, Fergusson knows all about life on Edinburgh’s claustrophobic closes.

On this exclusive evening tour guests will go back in time and beneath the Royal Mile where they will hear the stories of the people who lived, worked and died on these now underground streets with a tale or two from Fergusson’s notorious past!

Tickets are priced at £55 per person and include a 3 course menu, poem reciting, 1 hour long guided tour and a dram of whisky to end the evening.  Why don’t you have a look at the Menu?
