The summer holidays are upon us, and it can be an awfully long six week with the kids if you have nothing planned. Not to mention the unpredictable Scottish weather can make it a washout. So, we decided to break down our top five picks of things to do with the kids in Edinburgh.
2. Get creative with Kids: Cut it Out! at The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. Free family fun for all the ages that gets them active with art. Perfect for the little ones that want to break out the crayons and give Picasso a run for his money!
3. Dive into the fantastic LEGO® brick sculptures at Edinburgh Zoo! Follow the trail around the zoo and spot over 30 life-sized statues of marine animals.
4. Travel to the moon and back! Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing with a week of space-themed activities at National Museum of Scotland. NASA is calling for the next generation, get them training early.
5. If you are lucky and the weather does hold up. Why not get all that extra energy out by walking up to Calton Hill for the perfect view across Edinburgh. It’s a family selfie waiting to be taken!
