The 'Daft Days' return to Edinburgh!

Throughout December we are running ‘Christmas on the Closes’ tours. Come along with your family and friends to find out what a traditional Christmas would have been like on the Edinburgh Closes from the 1500s – 1900s and discover why Hogmanay (New Year) is so important to us Scots? In addition, hear all about the underground celebrations and the Daft Days (the period between Christmas Day and Hogmanay), made famous in a poem by Robert Fergusson, a one time visitor to the Close.

The tours make a fantastic start to a Christmas social occasion.  All tickets include a generous cup of mulled wine or festive spiced apple cider (non-alcoholic)and a festive mince pie! Tickets are priced at £15.00 per adult, £13.50 per concession & £7.00per child (5-15 years).
