Ghost Fest Scoops Remarkable Award For The Second Year!
Mary King’s Ghost Fest scoops yet another award (alongside their recent shortlisting in Visit Scotland’s Scottish Thistle Awards). This time, the world-class visitor attraction; The Real Mary King’s Close, who are the organisers of the award winning ‘Mary King’s Ghost Fest’- a unique and hugely popular paranormal festival in Edinburgh, has been recognised as ‘Best Paranormal Event in the UK 2008 - for the second year running.
At the UK’s largest award ceremony of its kind, The Real Mary King’s Close has been awarded for its outstanding contribution to the world of paranormal events by Spiritual Connextions, an organisation which ‘aims to bring spiritual people together’ and is a resource base for all things supernatural.
The public voted Mary King’s Ghost Fest 2008, Best Paranormal Event; one of several awards given in honour of those who have made a difference to society by working in all areas of spirituality and paranormal research.
Stephen Spencer, Visitor Centre Manager, said: “We are delighted that Mary King’s Ghost Fest has yet again been recognised by the public as Best Paranormal Event in the UK, helping to firmly establish it as one of the key festivals in Edinburgh. The Edinburgh-based Mary King’s Ghost Fest is a 10 day, city-wide festival exploring the supernatural side of many ‘haunted sites’, offering experiments, night vigils, workshops, talks and demonstrations on this fascinating subject. Visitors are able to explore different sites and examine under supervision, the paranormal side of the extraordinary city of Edinburgh.
