A unique new retail offering is being launched at the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town on October 1st 2007.

The shop at The Real Mary King’s Close has already received a dramatic makeover which has delighted visitors from all over the world.  Reflecting themes of Scottish social history and contemporary Scottish lifestyle, the range is a welcome and original arrival on the Edinburgh retail scene.

The latest addition to the shop promises to be dramatically different, however.  Appropriately enough for this strange dark underground site, the new arrival is the Mary King’s Close Dark Department!

The 'Dark' department itself will offer luxurious leather notebooks and calligraphy sets, beautifully designed and fragranced gift soaps, ceramics, glassware, home and garden accessories and many more unusual and constantly changing gift ideas.  Look out for the unique black toilet paper!!
